A question about taxes

Here's a question from a Tuesday news story that we would like candidates for Cincinnati City Council to discuss:

Approving a tax rollback that provides only $1.39 for the owner of an average-priced house in Cincinnati raises some interesting questions about how City Council addresses taxing and spending realities. Do you think the voters are “entitled” to a rollback, no matter how small it is? Or should the city keep the money, which totaled up might actually be spent on a public purpose that benefits everybody? Would it matter if the rollback amounted to $50 per property owner? $100?

All of the City Council candidates have agreed to discuss the issues and answer questions on this blog. If you have a question for the candidates post it on our discussion board at Cincinnati.com Search: conversation.
