Gov. Fletcher: Whatever it takes

I've seen some desperate, last-minute election maneuvers in my time, but this one by Kentucky Gov. Ernie Fletcher takes the cake. Click here.

Shame on Fletcher for following a court order preventing the injunction against posting the 10 Commandments. Did you get all the negatives?

Fletcher's actions you condemn are now following the current law. Oopps!

Dennis, A short time back you had a post about another Ten Commandments flap and expressed the opinion that displaying them in a courthouse setting was no big deal and didn't violate the establishment clause in the Constitution. Still feel that way? If Fletchers sleazy theatrics aren't a blatant pitch to the religious right, then what is it?
It's all about appealling to the base, in the basest, crudest way.

oh those pesky evil 10 commandments!
maybe when Beshear gets in his 1st order of business can be to remove them.
that'll make the folks at The Enquirer happy certainly.

Using the Ten Commandments as campaign leverage reduces them to so much carny hustle. Isn't that what most political campaigns are? He's a weasel.

just proves fletcher is another right wing hypocrite who finds religion when its convenient. that we tolerate this smokescreen that its part of a historical display is ridiculous.

just remember if you don't vote for fletcher you'll have gays taking over everything... (oh, wait a minute, it wasn't proven those phone calls came from the republicans)
