Qualls on Graffiti

The City of Cincinnati's Anti-Graffiti program was established in 1995 as part of my "Zero Tolerance Initiative." The objective was to respond to complaints about graffiti within 72 hours. Keep Cincinnati Beautiful helped coordinate the fundraising effort that raised private money to purchase the original Anti-Graffiti van.

Any citizen can call 513.591.6000 to report graffiti and it will be removed even from private property. Unfortunately, the I-71 and I-75 highway overpasses to reach the citizen refers are not the responsibility of the City of Cincinnati. The State of Ohio's Department of Transportation (ODOT) is responsible for graffiti removal from the interstaes and for keeping the ramps clean. The State's response to either graffiti and the trashiness of ramps is complaint driven. Any citizen can call 591.6000 to report the graffiti on the interstates, and the city staff will forward the complaint to the responsible person at ODOT.

Calling 591 - 6000 at times is a WASTE OF TIME. Our City services are lacking and the work force in lazy. Bad response Roxy
