Monzel’s Response - National Issues on council floor

Q. Do you believe that a position on city council should be used as a platform for national issues?

A. Our focus as councilmembers should remain on those pertinent issues that directly affect the city and its citizens. However, I believe in every councilmembers’ right to discuss/debate any issue on the floor of council.
