Monzel’s Response – Building and Inspections

The City Administration needs to undertake a comprehensive review of the Buildings & Inspections Department that will include a complete overhaul of its operations from top to bottom. This action should be carried out with the help of a special task force composed of industry professionals, current B&I personnel, and members of the community.

The goal of this group will be to improve the overall performance, service & customer satisfaction of the department, as well as improving efficiency by reviewing current policies & implementing industry-wide "best practices." The net result of this reform effort will reposition Cincinnati's building department into one of the area's best government agencies to do business with as well as adding value to Cincinnati's ability to attract new residential & commercial development.
