What about The Banks
It is not too late to consider developing the Banks as a LEED neighborhood. Having 12 city blocks of high-value real estate for development into an urban community is an unprecedented opportunity, one unlikely to be found in most major American cities. To develop the Banks as a green, sustainable LEED neighborhood would certainly put Cincinnati on the progressive map. Dawson, Carter and the Banks Working Group are just beginning to think about some green elements. We need a clear and sustained focus rather than miscellaneous thoughts and elements. Going green would capture national attention, and accessing federal funds allocated for LEED-ND would make the wait worthwhile.
