Crowley wants you know what you think about the Banks

In anticipation of next weeks' various meetings related to the Banks I will spend the next several days examining the Banks Working Groups' 500 page report.

In addition to the report I’d like to hear what thoughts you have about how I should vote or any other questions or comments you might have about the project. Do you like it? Do you have reservations? Suggestions? Let me hear it!

David

David,
This is a good move on your part.(asking people to share opinions) I personally would like to see the Banks more for entertainment and the arts. But what you see in that massive report will be approved by Council.

Seriously? I mean, why is this question even being asked? Absolutely you should vote for it, as should every other member of Council. What is left to debate? You've had ten years to debate and make suggestions! Now is not the time for political posturing.

Just get this project done.

Sorry, I mean get this project STARTED.

The Banks is a very important part of our future. I don't like doing it just for the sake of doing it. It seems to me that for the last 10 yrs. all of the hassle about the Banks has been about political correctness, inclusion, diversity, etc. I don't think enough constructive thought has gone into really thinking about and deciding what types of structures are going to be there and what their realistic use will be. If people are going to work there, they will need places to eat. If people are going to live there, they need places to buy certain staples-of-life, instead of driving to Hyde Park for a bottle of milk. If people will recreate there, they will need places to eat, drink, dance, gamble, etc. That's enough for now.
